Oh and, plus the link you posted to an article about the subject, I can't believe more than 50% of the comments go to the tune of "it's ok to take that wifi; if you don't like it, lock it!".
I should purposely leave my connection open and log all the computer MACs that hook on and then proceed to bring charges against them just for the fun of it.
Yes, and as a matter of fact, one Singaporean teenager, Garyl Tan Jia Luo, age 17, was charged under the Computer Misuse Act for doing precisely that. The "unauthorized use or interception of computer service" is also referenced as "WiFi theft" or "mooching," and carries a penalty of a fine not exceeding SG$10,000 and/or imprisonment not exceeding 3 years.

Garyl Tan got away with 18 months probation inclusive of enjoying the hospitality of a boy's home.
The other way is just to redirect each and every query or request their browser sends to shock sites, or load up their hard drives with horse porn.

Karen, I'll bet the house, because... um... because those evil corporations make too much money as it is and... and... er... WiFi should be an entitlement! Free WiFi should be a right! Everyone deserves WiFi! End Digital Serfdom! Say 'No' to Wireless Elitism! Beat Internet Access Segregation! Free WiFi for all! (We will just increase taxes to pay for it.)
