Within the reality distortion field

You would lose all your credibility and all your usefulness to the world if you are seen to censor your news to avoid saying what you are trying to say. You no longer become a credible and meaningful source of information and you become irrelevant and useless. (Professor Kishore Mahbubani, Dean of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (NUS), speaking to journalists, editors and producers at the 2007 MediaCorp News Awards)

The operative phrase here being "are seen to."

Two probable mandatory modules for Mass Communications and Journalism majors at this world-class university:

       * Sycophantic journalism
       * Propaganda

Only the extinct eunuchs of the Qing Dynasty rival these hacks in obsequious servility, bootlicking, and brownnosing.

Do yourself a favor and check out how Reporters Without Borders rate the media of this sunny, tropical island paradise with the death penalty.

Sieg heil!
